LALOM
LA LOM – short for The Los Angeles League of Musicians – is an instrumental trio weaving together the diverse musical threads of Los Angeles: Cumbia Sonidera, ’60s soul ballads, romantic Mexican boleros, Peruvian chicha, and Bakersfield country.
Guitarist Zac Sokolow, bassist Jake Faulkner, and percussionist Nicholas Baker all grew up immersed in the city’s rich musical landscape. Originally brought together to play background music at the Roosevelt Hotel lobby, their sound quickly evolved into something distinct: reverb-soaked, nostalgic yet alive, evoking the spirit of Smokey Robinson, Brenda & the Tabulations, and the backyard parties of East LA.
LA LOM’s music channels the pulse of old radio hits and present-day street parties – atmospheric, danceable, and entirely timeless. Their unique style has already drawn admiration from artists like Beck, Vampire Weekend, and Zane Lowe.
