Saxophonists Linda Fredriksson and Adele Sauros, bassist Mikael Saastamoinen, and drummer Olavi Louhivuori form Superposition – a quartet built on equal collaboration and a shared musical language between four distinct voices.
The group’s debut album, published in 2020, earned an Emma nomination and was followed by Superposition II in 2024. The new record expands their expression: music that breathes the freedom of acoustic free jazz, while also offering melodic depth and sensitivity that unfolds with each listen.
All four members are central figures in the Finnish jazz scene – and several of them also perform together in Linda Fredriksson Juniper. On stage, Superposition’s sound combines precision, vulnerability, and the joy of truly playing together.
