Minipuhkut

The mini brass orchestra Minipuhkut of the North Helsinki Music School, led by its conductor Miia Reko, will bring the joy of brass music directly to the hearts and minds of its listeners! The orchestra consists of around 20 primary school-age blowers and percussionists who practice finding a common ground every Wednesday at Malmi, Helsinki. Sometimes the notes fly around, and that’s when the members of the orchestra start making up music about their own lives or, for example, about cats and pickles. The latest school jokes are always told during rehearsals. At the Minipuhkut gigs, familiar and unfamiliar songs from the past and present are mixed up in a joyful mix. You are welcome to listen!
