In a world where technology drives business, new ideas emerge when diverse perspectives meet. On Flow’s Saturday, Tietoevry Create leads its audience into a world of sustainable digital solutions and innovations with top speakers.

The program starts with a keynote by Tietoevry Create’s design leader, Denny Royal, who talks about nature’s role as a model for technological innovations. With 30 years of experience in design-led organizations, Royal combines behavior design with customer-focused digital services. In his presentation, Royal focuses on biomimetics, a multidisciplinary field of research that aims at solving practical issues by imitating forces and forms of nature.

Joni Furstenborg, creative director at TBWA\Helsinki, will discuss how design can help solve many of the problems caused by technology. His approach emphasises the importance of usability, understandability and communication. Problems can be solved, but only when people are aware of them can real results be achieved. In the age of artificial intelligence and social media, children are particularly close to Jon’s heart.

To Visa Rauta, global head of KONE design, inclusive design doesn’t just mean considering everyone’s needs. It means empowering people and enriching their experiences through profound understanding of how they live. In his Flow Talks presentation, Visa talks about building better cities and buildings with inclusive design. For KONE, inclusive design is a philosophy, not a checklist of features.

The program is hosted by Oona Ylänkö, who has worked as CEO of the programming school Hive Helsinki and as a Game Brands Lead at Supercell. Ylänkö is also known for hosting Slush and Tietoevry’s Data Insiders podcast.
