At Helsingin Sanomat’s Musta laatikko, previously unpublished journalistic stories come to life as a unique live performance. Celebrating its tenth anniversary in February, the highly popular concept presents true stories told by HS journalists and photographers.

On Flow Festival’s Saturday 2026, Musta laatikko will present the following performances:

HS feature journalist Samuel Nyroos explores how artificial intelligence affects science.

Katja Nordlund: Dining with a critic

Karja Nordlund, HS food journalist, reveals to the audience how restaurant reviews are created.

Vesa Sirén: Super-Trump’s cultural revolution

For Musta laatikko, HS culture journalist and award-winning non-fiction author Vesa Sirén travelled to the United States and describes what President Donald Trump is doing to American culture.
