Francis Erharuyi alias Fadda Francis moved from Nigeria to Finland in the late 1970s, and his pioneering work as a DJ and a club and event organiser in the Helsinki reggae circuit has continued for more than four decades. Fadda Francis is the sole promoter and producer of the largest annual reggae events in Finland, such as Helsinki Reggae Festival, Reggae Snowsplash and Tampere Reggae Festival, and he has promoted numerous live concerts by Jamaican artists from Lee Scratch Perry to Shaggy. He is the head of his own sound system Lion Head Sound, performing also outside Finland, and in Helsinki he has hosted various club nights such as One Love, Reggae United, and Shocking Vybz. As a DJ and promoter, Fadda Francis is always reinventing and creating new experiences, and he is one of the driving forces behind the success of urban music culture in Finland.
