Kaero, alias Karoliina Pärnänen, is the mother of the Alternate Frequency club concept and a DJ who navigates seamlessly on heavy bass frequencies. Her high-energy sets often contain evocative vocals and fragmented drum breaks, weaving together contemporary and deconstructed club sounds. Rooted in the Finnish underground and shaped by years in Den Haag and Berlin, Kaero brings a truly international sensibility to the floor. In Helsinki, her Alternate Frequency concept combines DJ sets with live electronic music, performance art, and visuals. Inspired by her multidisciplinary practice spanning over a decade as a DJ, curator, creative director & designer, she creates experiences that push the boundaries of club culture, never afraid of questioning the status quo.
