Paula Koski operates in the space between hypnotic and driving techno, crafting a sound that is dark, glossy, and sharp-edged. The Finnish-born DJ started her career in Gothenburg and now lives in Berlin, where she plays regularly at clubs such as Berghain. In the last few years, she has DJ’d almost every weekend somewhere around the world, with gigs at clubs such as Basement in New York and Bassiani in Tbilisi.
In Helsinki, Koski runs the event series INTERLINK at Post Bar and Ääniwalli, channelling her vision for forward-facing, immersive club music into the local underground. With an instinct for storytelling through sound, Koski carves out a distinct voice within contemporary techno, also through her releases on labels such as the legendary Soma Recordings, which has been running since 1991.
